A Nation Still Mourning Now Celebrates Their New King

King Charles the III alongside his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, greeted supporters outside Buckingham Palace after officially being proclaimed king. The Ascension ceremony was filled with current and former U.K political leaders, including six of the former Prime Ministers and cameras in the event for the first time. Once the king took an oath and signed the proclamation, it was read to the public for the first time by the Garter King of Arms. Finally, he arrived back at Buckingham palace, greeting other government leaders. A nation still mourning their Queen while celebrating the ascension of their King.
